This month we are continuing with our quotes from great comedians of our time.  And George Carlin certainly fits into the category of “great.”  In fact, George has been recognized as one of the most important stand-up comedians ever!  That said, we are going to do something a little different this month – we are passing along some additional quotes from George without the usual commentary.  Enjoy!

“Have you ever noticed that anyone driving slower than you is an idiot and anyone going faster is a maniac.”

“Some people have no idea what they are doing and a lot of them are really good at it.”

“Just because you got the monkey off your back does not mean the circus has left town.”

“Somewhere along the way someone will tell you there is no “I” in team.  Your response?  “Maybe not. But there is an “I” in independence and integrity.”

“Never underestimate the power of foolish people in large groups.”

“There is nothing wrong with the planet. The planet is fine.  It has been here for billions of years.  We’ve been here for what, a few hundred thousand years.  And we have been engaged in heavy industry for a little over 200 years.  A couple of hundred years versus four or more billion.   And we have the conceit to think that somehow we are a threat?  The planet isn’t going away.  We are.”

Perform better!
